Gowdey Reed is the oldest reed manufacturer in the world and has become one of the largest handloom suppliers in the nation. All reeds are personally inspected and handled by Jim Wilson, owner of Gowdey Reed. The service you get is customized to meet your needs. Reeds are available in Carbon Steel and Stainless Steel. The standard Dents Per Inch (DPI) ranges up to 20. Anything over 20 DPI constitutes a finer reed and may cost slightly more.
